Finding a caring and reliable pet sitter or dog walker can be a very stressful and time consuming task. There are so many services that look similar, but this is where we excel.  We provide a highly personalized service and we will tailor our visits to your exact requirements.

We don't consider pet care 'work' here at JAX PET SITTING; it is our passion and our pleasure.  We wholeheartedly believe that it is vitally important to have an unconditional passion and love for animals, as this disposition means that we are truly able to genuinely care for your pets in a personal and loving way.

We believe that we are the best in the industry, because we do care genuinely and passionately about animals. When you trust us with your pets, you can be sure that we will provide professional, courteous and reliable service for you, with lots of pampering, fun-time and genuine loving care for your pets.

Bio

My name is Rob and I formed Jax Pet Sitting through my love of all animals, but especially dogs and cats. I worked for almost 23 years in the telecoms industry before leaving the UK, and through these years in my spare time I was involved in many charitable causes for homeless pets and stray animals.

The big move across the pond allowed me some reflection time and over the months I decided that I would like to dedicate more of my time to animals, so creating Jax Pet Sitting was the ideal situation for me as this allows me to care for other people's pets, while still maintaining regular contact with my own extended furry family!

We have one pup, our much loved and beautiful 12 year old Siberian Husky (Kody), and our special little boy (Poppy), a 16 year old black & white tux cat who came to the United States with me from England in 2005.  Even though I had a good friend who would have taken him, I couldn't bear to leave him behind. He had been part of our family his whole life and he was coming with me! Happily, Kody and Poppy are now such very close companions, it is amazing to see them together. They have a kind of 'mutual senior respect' for each other!

I have been 'owned' by several dogs and cats over the years and I have been around animals all of my life. It was important to me that I could maintain my regular walks and fun times with my beloved pets, so pet sitting was the natural choice for me as this affords me the flexibility to spend time with Kody and Poppy and to look after other people's pups and furry loved ones as well!

                     MADISONS STORY
K-9 Cart

I am passionate about animals and back in February 2007 I started a fund for Madison, a 5 year old chocolate lab who had been severely abused and had lost the use of her back legs. When I met her rescuers, they told me her story and how they have loved and cared for her and this touched me deeply. I thought that if I could raise just $600.00, I could get Madison a 'set of wheels' to give her back the quality of life that she so richly deserves. She is such an active little soul (all 120 pounds of her!) despite her disablity.

I have had an amazing response to my appeal and within 10 days I had received almost $2000.00 in donations and pledges. Over 90% of those people who pledged came through and now Madison has her very own custom built, high tech, aluminum, all terrain heavy duty cart PLUS two custom made slings for taking her on short potty breaks, built and supplied by Dr Lincoln Parkes DVM
at K-9 Carts.

I wouldn't normally 'advertise' other companies, but in this case I'm going to make an exception. Dr Lincoln Parkes, the inventor and builder of the very first commercially available dog cart (some 45 years ago!) kindly offered to work with us to build Maddy's wheels; Madison is 120 pounds, so a heavy duty cart is essential, and K-9 Carts are more than equipped with knowledge and high quality materials and build techniques to complete the job.

Dr Parkes has, over the years, continued to perfect his carts for fit, durability, functionality and style (every dog should ride in style!) and I believe that his company still build the nations premier cart products for disabled pets available on the market today.

Thanks to K-9 Carts, Madison is now whizzing around in her new wheels and she is so much happier.... I can't even begin to tell you what a difference this
new freedom has made to her life.
